For years, teacher professional development in Andhra Pradesh was marked by fragmentation—a patchwork of disconnected training initiatives led by different organisations, with little standardisation or long-term continuity. As a result, there was no scalable system to track teacher progress, align training with classroom needs, or drive systemic improvements. Recognising these gaps, last year ConveGenius, in collaboration with the Andhra Pradesh administration, launched the Teacher Professional Development (TPD) Bot—a scalable, mobile-first platform designed to streamline teacher training, deliver real-time insights, and create a sustainable model for continuous professional growth. Built as a chat-based conversational platform, the TPD Bot delivers teacher training courses, provides access to teaching resources and lesson plans, enables certifications and training surveys, offers real-time insights, and empowers teachers with a continuous, sustainable model for professional growth—all integrated within a single mobile application.

The TPD Bot unified the training experience, allowing teachers to access contextual, curriculum-aligned courses directly through the platform. In partnership with regional content partners such as Acharya Nagarjuna University and supported by leading non-profits such as Pratham Education Foundation and Leadership for Equity, Andhra Pradesh introduced a play-based, classroom-grounded model for Foundational Literacy and Numeracy (FLN) training. This approach ensured that the content was not only academically robust but also rooted in the day-to-day realities of early-grade classrooms, making professional development practical, actionable, and instantly relevant for over 34,000 teachers.

“Andhra Pradesh Teacher Bot is envisioned as a one-stop solution for all the teacher needs, whether it be training, online courses, resources etc. All of these were happening in silos till now, we want to get these all together in one place and bring the synergies together”.

Building on this success, ConveGenius expanded the vision by launching a landmark partnership with Cambridge University to bring globally accredited content to the TPD Bot in Himachal Pradesh. This collaboration aims to offer teachers access to world-class training modules, aligned with global pedagogical standards yet delivered through mobile-first channels that are tailored for local contexts. Through this initiative, over 33,000 teachers across 12 districts in Himachal Pradesh are set to benefit from high-quality, internationally recognised certification programmes—creating new benchmarks for professional development in public education.

This scalable, adaptable model is rapidly becoming one of India's fastest-growing infrastructures for teacher professional development.
The TPD Bot represents a new era for teacher development—combining technology, contextual learning, and governance-level data insights to deliver impact at scale. Designed to be adaptive, system-first, and outcome-driven, the TPD Bot is poised to become the core infrastructure for continuous teacher growth across India. With multi-state adoption, strategic academic partnerships, and a tech-first approach at its heart, the platform is laying the foundation for a future where professional development for teachers is accessible, measurable, and deeply aligned with classroom outcomes.
